It's a gorgeous
Sunday afternoon here at the Smith House. I'm eating chips and salsa with two
of my sisters, listening to "Beer for My Horses" on the radio, and
enjoying some AC after a {hot but wonderful} day at the pool with some amazing
friends. You know, often we forget how much we are blessed until we sit down
and realize that we're having an amazing day. Then that thought sort of turns
into, "If only_____________, it would be perfect." But really, even
if we had that, it wouldn't ever be "perfect". But I'm fairly certain
today is as perfect as it can get. (If only two of my siblings haven't come
down with colds, it would be perfect.)
(That's my "if only".)
Yes, it is 100
degrees outside with a heat index of over 108, but it feels pretty dad-gum
decent in the shade drinking lemonaid and eating watermelon with three of your
best friends and your [super amazing] Sunday-school-teacher and [super amazing]
Sunday-school-teacher-substitute.
I've had a wonderful
day today.
And it's days like
this that we can look back on and reflect upon when we're having those
not-so-great days. There's always a sunny side, even if it is a
simple act of reflecting on memories, you know?
Catch you all
later!! <3
