About the Author

       Hi again!

As you've almost certainly gathered by now, my name is Savannah. I'm seventeen years old and I have a passion for many, many things. You will be able to catch glimpses of those things as you read through my blog.

First and foremost, I'm a daughter of the King. I am a sinner, saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone to the glory of God the Father. I am a member of an amazing youth-group with an incredible youth pastor and youth staff. (Shout-out to y'all! You rock!)

I first began blogging when I was ten or eleven years old. I've always had a passion for the written word, and I was introduced to this opportunity at a very young age. For many years I simply blogged for the sake of blogging. Today I have a purpose more central to today's culture, as culture/society is also a great interest of mine. I want this to be a place of acceptance for those who seek it, but also a place where I am not afraid to offend those whose views do not align with mine.

Our culture has twisted tolerance into being the most important virtue out there. Yet no where in the Bible are we commanded to be tolerant.  We are called to love. Love does not equal tolerance.

There are several key scriptures that I love and that have guided me through life so far. I'd like to post these here for you now.

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
--Romans 5:6-9

But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
--Romans 3:21-25

So God created man in his own image,
    in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
--Genesis 1:27

A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
--Proverbs 15:1

 Proverbs 31:10-31
First Corinthians 13:1-13
(Those are from the English Standard Version of the Bible.)

Please feel free to leave questions, comments, or suggestions anywhere on the blog! I love hearing from readers.

Have a very blessed day!
Soli Deo Gloria! (Glory to God Alone)
