I have decided not to work on my "Sacrifices" story. I have decided that I am just not cut out for Fantasy writing. Dont get me wrong... I LOVE reading Fantasy, but writing it is just not my thing. I have the ideas there...just not the know-how.
That being said, I think I shall stick to Historical fiction/Adventure as I dont have to do a bunch of research for those unless I place my story in an unfamiliar area. I am a bit of a history nerd....not in the sense that I absolutely love history, and that I would...well, actually, I dont know what defines a "history nerd"...but I am not ...lets say, I love history as my favorite subject in school, and I like geography, but I dont know everything about everything such as who Nordenskiold is...oh, wait, yeah I do, since I learned about him yesterday.....anyway, the point is, I like history.
I especially enjoy war history. (You will come to see this in my future novel "Hope from Heaven" This is a World War II story in which a young man is drafted and must leave his family behind. He keeps a journal and sends letters home to his sister. Meanwhile, his sister is struggling to find her Savior in the midst of the war. While this is a story of Physical warfare, Brent and Kathy are also in an intense Spiritual battle, trying to find their way back to their Heavenly Father. Brent has the privilege of bringing hope to many in his troop through the power of Faith and "Hope Overflowing."**
Okay, now, that being said... I will keep y'all posted!
**Hope overflowing is a reference to a future post. Be on your lookout! :-)
